Dr.Carl Chiasson

Dr.Carl Chiasson is a second generation Audiologist and Hearing Instrument Specialist whose father established the first acousticon hearing aid dealerships in northern New york State.

Dr. Chiasson was appointed to the faculty at Plattsburgh State University in 1983 as an instructor in the Department of Hearing and speech science. He completed the requirements for the Doctoral degree in 2002 while earning an additional degree in counseling psychology.

He is the author of several articles on noise reduction hearing aids and digital signal processing.

He maintains membership in the American Academy of audiology.

Dan Baggott:

Dan is the Regional Manager for Hear For You and is Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences by the International Hearing Society

Dan is originally from the Bronx and has had a couple of careers prior to joining Hear For You in 1999. He spent 20 years in Banking, leaving Charter One Savings Bank as a Vice President. During that time he also taught management courses for the American Institute of Banking. He has also served part time as a Pastor in a local Capital District Church.

Consistent with all of his careers including one with Hear For You is his value for excellence in serving and caring for people. In addition to managing the practice he dispenses in our satellite offices.

He is married to Lee for 33 years. She is a Patient Services Coordinator and has been with the company since 2002. He has two children Scott and Jessica.

Jessica works at the corporate offices for All American Hearing in Portland Oregon.

Scott is head chef at a local Deli and Catering Restaurant.

Barb LaCoppola

Barb LaCoppola Has worked for Hear for you for 10 years. Barbs resides in Amsterdam with her husband Michael "Mickey" LaCoppola. Barb enjoys cooking and baking for the patients and has even been called the Rachel Ray of Amsterdam. Her warm presence and smile is a sure favorite with our patients.

Andrew Roth

Andrew is a New York State Licensed hearing instrument specialist and is the newest addition the the Hear for You Team.

Andrew recieved his Bachlor of arts from Cortland State University in 2004. While at Cortland state he was a stand out lacrosse player earning All America honors 3 of his four years. Upon Graduation he played 2 years in the proffessional lacrosse league for The Philadelphia Barrage and New Jersey Pride.

Andrew grew up in new Jersey and moved to Fulton county full time in 2007. He has a passion for helping people hear better, he struggled to communicate with his grand father for a long time and understands the pain it can bring to a family. "One does not realize how important it is to hear untill they are affected themselves."

Andrew enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and two children, Collin and Riley, and spends as much time on The Great Sacandaga lake as possible.

Allison Palmer

Allison is a New York State Licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist and has been with Hear for You for over seven years. Allison received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Oswego State University in 2002, and started her career in the hearing aid field working for an audiologist in Kingston, NY before moving to Albany in 2004.

Allison approaches the journey through hearing loss with an empathetic, caring spirit and thoroughly enjoys serving the senior population.

Allison enjoys the beach, reading, and spending time with her pug Peter and her niece Allison.

Roberta Wasson

BC-HIS: In addition to holding Board Certification, Roberta is licensed to dispense hearing instruments in both New York and Massachusetts. She has been serving patients with hearing loss for 14 years with a sense of compassion, knowledge and understanding.

Prior to becoming interested in hearing loss, Roberta served for many years at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany as a diagnostic microbiologist, specializing in bacteriology.

Roberta and her husband David are the parents of four adult children. The couple enjoy gardening, their pets and Disney World.

Darren Barkman

Darren Barkman, M.A., BC-HIS, is a Board Certified Hearing Healthcare Specialist for Hear For You and has been with the practice since 2002. He currently sees patients in the Rotterdam and Cobleskill offices.

Darren holds a B.S. In Speech Communication from Plattsburgh State University and a Masters of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Master's International School of Divinity in Evansville, Indiana.

During his years with Hear For You, Darren has been widely praised for his down-to-earth, caring and friendly approach to fitting hearing aids. His attention to detail and patience have enabled thousands across the capital region to thoroughly enjoy the process of better hearing. Darren has also been an open house guest specialist for Audibel Hearing Aids and has facilitated several industry seminars.

Away from the office, Darren has hosted his own local radio program and enjoys writing, baseball and spending time in the Adirondacks. He has been married for sixteen years, has three daughters and a son and lives in Schenectady.
